The Division of Student Affairs exists to support and foster students intellectual and personal growth, and to help them explore and experience the different aspects of college life. Working with the IT Director of Student Affairs, we are searching for a Senior Systems Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity if you thrive in an interesting and meaningful work environment. You will be responsible for implementing, managing and improving various enterprise grade software and hardware solutions for the Division of Student Affairs. In this role, you will also complete and coordinate various tasks to ensure that the defined goals, plans and projects of the departments within Student Affairs are successfully completed.
Core responsibilities will include:
Provide end-user support services and work to continually improve customer service; provide user documentation and training, as well as IT related industry standard research;
Application administration, database management, hardware management and maintenance (point of sale, credit card readers, receipt printers, vending card readers, etc.);
Maintain, support and monitor both third party and custom enterprise systems, including end user support for software and hardware, system patches/updates, systems or data integration and security/compliance oversight. Provide documentation for all procedures and systems;
Research technology opportunities, possibilities and standard methodologies; provide technical consultation and coordinate installation of new systems/components ensuring industry standards are utilized for new or replacement scenarios;
Maintain equipment inventory and software licensing inventory.Coordinate Installation, ongoing maintenance and disposal of various hardware equipment including annual hardware refresh;
Serve as a primary resource to assist non-IT professionals in utilizing the best solutions to accomplish their business/operational needs; and
Handle user account setup and security; enforce applicable compliance standards (ex: HIPAA, PCI, FERPA, etc). Provide documentation and coordinate ongoing system and software training/knowledge base.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum three years of experience supporting complex enterprise applications with integrated hardware required; solid grasp of IT service management and experience with ITSM software to track and document incidents, inventory, projects, etc.
Experience working in both the application and infrastructure side of an IT team highly desired; authoring recommendations to improve efficiency or quality with the organization preferred.
Competency in general hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting preferred.
