Our team is currently searching for Sr. Director of IT to lead the software development team’s efforts in meeting the technology needs of external constituents (clients and members) and internal colleagues (various departments within the organization).
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
The type of formal education and type/amount of experience that would typically be needed to successfully perform in the position.
Bachelors degree or equivalent education/experience
10+ years experience in systems analysis, design or development is required
8+ years experience with advanced software development, architectures and methodologies, object oriented analysis and design/UML required with at least five years in a MS.NET environment
5+ years experience with web-based software development is required utilizing Microsoft development tools
4+ years experience developing electronic commerce focused applications using Microsoft Commerce Server preferred
5+ years experience in project management is required
2+ years experience managing software development projects preferred
KEY RESULT AREAS
Leads software product development for the development team to ensure that the software product requirements of the organization are met in an efficient and effective manner and that software products are market competitive from a feature/functionality perspective.
Leads development team utilizing an agile development methodology
Ensures that data needed for use in products is processed according to established timeframes. Provides access to new data sources in a seamless manner by building and maintaining a robust data-warehousing infrastructure
Directs QA team in testing and quality control for software products
Researches, evaluates, recommends, implements and supports tools, technologies, applications and methodologies utilized to develop and maintain organizational application and software products and architecture
Maintains, in coordination with Network Services, a scalable, robust and reliable technology infrastructure to build and support high availability web software tools for sale to existing and new customers and to support the growth of divisions marketing commercial software tools and services
Maintains, in coordination with Network Services, an e-commerce architecture to support lines of business
Acts as a primary interface and works in conjunction with product development staff to define features and requirements for new software products and enhancements to existing products
Responds to technical aspects of RFP/RFQ as relates to new and existing business opportunities for software development
Manages the selection, training, development and performance of assigned staff to retain a motivated, professional workforce for the company. Oversees the management of human resources and ensures compliance with company philosophy, standards, policies and practices
Recruits and selects applicants for job vacancies considering the requirements of the job, and the skills/abilities of applicants
Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance applications to assure mutual understanding of desired results
Identifies training and/or development opportunities that will assist the employee in achieving enhanced job performance and/or career objectives
