The Network-Telecom role is to ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network and phones systems. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links.
Assists with administering and maintaining the company’s network infrastructure and WAN.
Administers and maintains the telephone system, including telephone switches.
Provides primary support for VOIP and PBX phone systems, call-recording and voice mail systems, including call accounting, ACD, and attendant console support.
Creates new hire phone and voicemail extensions; routes extensions to appropriate locations and updates information as seating assignments change.
Project planning and managing to a project plan. Updating project plans to meet evolving needs along with managing completion of priorities.
Managing multiple vendors during project implementations.
Monitor and analyze network performance across the organization’s LANs, WANs, and wireless infrastructure.
Ensure the stable operation and efficient performance of company networks.
Maintains network documentation including network and system diagrams.
Manage all network equipment, including routers, firewalls, switches, and phone systems.
Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
Responsible for Internet connectivity and router/firewall configuration and maintenance.
Projects may involve having to work during non-business hours (weekends, holidays, etc.).
BS Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or commensurate experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in hands on LAN/WAN network administration
Minimum 2 years of Enterprise Firewall experience
Minimum 2 years of Phone System and Telecom Circuit Management
Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards
