Works with Manager of Technical Services to formulate and execute a comprehensive and effective state-of-the-art company-wide technology program. Periodically performs system analysis, including consultation with users to determine hardware, software, and system functional needs. Aides the Manager of Technical Services in the configuration and support of corporate database systems, reports, forms, interfaces and client support. Serves as primary support for computers, computer software, printers, and related equipment. Monitors and analyzes system capacity and network performance across the organization’s LANs, WANs and wireless systems. Determines effectiveness and recommends enhancements to meet changing or new network demands.
Must be able to carry out instructions, meet work schedules, and exchange work information as necessary to expedite workflow. Must recognize matters of a confidential nature and keep them confidential. Must be able to operate a computer keyboard and mouse daily. Must have good communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to interact effectively with employees, members, and general public. Required to talk and hear as well as grip, grasp, feel, or twist using the hands, fingers, and/or wrists regularly while supporting weighted objects. Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch while supporting weighted objects. Required to occasionally climb a ladder while supporting weighted objects. Regularly lifts and carries objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Employee occasionally lifts objects weighing up to 75 lbs. Must be able to push or pull up to 100 pounds with the use of a dolly. Ability to work outside in all kinds of weather including cold below 32 degrees and heat above 100 degrees.

Associates degree in information technology, electrical engineering, electrical technology, or a related field required. One-year experience performing network, LAN and database tasks (preferably for a utility) required. Five years experience performing networking, LAN and database tasks may substitute for some education requirements (preferably for a utility).
Must be able to travel, work overtime and non-standards hours when necessary, and participate in designated training programs. Must maintain good attendance and punctuality record. Successful candidate must live within a 30-minute drive to JPEC and possess a valid driver’s license.
