U. S. Steel has an immediate opening for an Applications Analyst on the Record to Report Team within the Global Business Processes organization of the Business Service Center (BSC). The Record to Report team supports the accounting and financial applications. The position is located in Pittsburgh, PA.
Major Responsibilities: • Techno/Functional improvements for the Financial and Process Manufacturing modules within Oracle R12 • Work with business users to define requirements and translate into functional design of Oracle add-ons • Design and implement solutions to improve existing processes and enable business initiatives • Interact with multiple internal teams to deliver enhancements and ensure business continuity • Manage multiple parallel assignments and participate in the development lifecycle including planning, designing, estimating, and implementing

Minimum Requirements: • B.S. in Information Technology, Engineering, Accounting or related discipline • 1+ years of work experience in an IT or business analyst role supporting an ERP or financial system • Ability to write intermediate to complex database queries • Understanding of manufactured inventory or the metals industry • Ability to work in collaborative and individual environments with minimal supervision • Strong critical thinking skills to generate solutions and engage in root cause analysis

Preferred Skills: • Oracle r12 eBS OPM, Inventory and Order Management experience • Working knowledge of the steel making process and outside processing of material • Ability to lead cross functional issues across IT and business units • Understanding the database tables and integration points behind the Oracle front end screens • Functional knowledge in additional eBS modules such as SLA, Projects, Tax, Order Entry, Accounts Receivable or Cash Management • Experience using or designing reports in OBIEE or Noetix
