As an Application Developer Lead (Java) you are a member of PNC's Information Technology organization within the Corporate and Institutional Banking group. Your responsibilities include performing critical technical activities, supporting a critical, distributed J2EE / Oracle / WebSphere application suite and working with a team on application software enhancements.
Responsible for performing: application development and support, proactive monitoring of application performance and stability, application and database tuning, change and configuration management. Will also work closely with other team members to conduct research, identify design and coding issues, and contribute to problem resolution.
Leads in the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.
Directs business assessment and requirements analysis processes, for the development of hardware and operating systems.
Analyses features such as feasibility, associated osts, time, and the compatibility of new programs with existing programs, and hardware. Ensures that expected application performance levels are achieved.
Coordinates coding, testing, implementation and documentation of application solutions.
Experience developing/supporting J2EE based enterprise application system using Struts and Spring Frame work with Oracle database backend
Possess expertise and thorough understanding of IT concepts including database structures, reference architectures, SOA , software / application development and testing techniques
Demonstrated experience working with application core technologies including J2EE, Oracle, WebSphere, Tomcat, Struts, Spring frame work and devops tools
Experience in Maven, Mockito, AngularJS
Experience with DevOps – uDeploy, Jenkins and GIT repository
Demonstrated excellence with one deployment framework; SaltStack or Ansible, or Puppet, Chef is preferred.
Demonstrated excellence with Jenkins, Hudson, Rerun or any other orchestration application/technology.
Demonstrated excellence with CI/CD, GIT branching strategy, BitBucket.
Working experience with SOAP and Restful API;s
Experience with following Operating Systems Unix, Linux, and Windows.
Experience with monitoring and tuning tools, including Ignite, NetCool, Dynatrace, Zenoss and Tealeaf desired
Experience with financial industry applications will be plus.
Experience working with geographically dispersed technical teams, including offshore
Experience with Log Insight is a plus
