How you fit in: Wake County Information Services is seeking an experienced developer to lead the applications development and SharePoint staff that manage the County's Windows/web application development and SharePoint team site environments. This includes providing technical leadership and standards for the development of Windows, web and SharePoint applications and services, and setting the technical direction, architecture and design for the SharePoint content management and collaboration platform environment. In this role you will supervise the staff that support these environments while also keeping your design and development skills sharp, as this position will serve as the County’s senior software developer. This position will also partner with the County’s Identity and Access Management Enterprise Architect to provide development support for the platforms that provide authentication and single sign for the County’s internal and hosted applications; and will oversee the staff that provide technical support for the County’s permitting and land management and County’s parks and recreation management applications. Lastly this position serves as a subject matter expert and resource for Information Services and the County related to applications development/support, SharePoint and user/application authentication.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Two years of experience in as a Supervisor / Manager with 3 years in a technical software development environment.. Six or more years .Net software development experience. Proven experience in data modeling, including knowledge of Unified Modeling Language, understanding of frameworks, and the ability to conceptualize, visualize, craft, and implement solutions. Proven experience using the following major technologies: .NET, MVC, C#, web app client side, Angular JS, jQuery, Rest APIs, Oracle, and SQL. Must have a strong working knowledge of database system development. Must have a working knowledge of MS Office Suite and a familiarity with Crystal Reporting, SQL Developer, Visual Source Safe, and Team Foundation Server (TFS).
Preferred Experience: Ability to maintain working relationships with vendors, manage, monitor contracts, and ensure compliance with all provisions. Familiar with Change Control Board and change management processes to manage system configurations across business units Experience working with SharePoint team sites. Experience using ActiveNet and/or EnerGov business solutions is a plus Must be a detail-oriented, self-starter with the proven ability to work independently with verified results.
