As a Senior Mainframe Network Systems Programmer, you will be a member of the bank's Platform Computing Group. This systems programming position will support operational and project activity for the z/OS mainframe platform and infrastructure applications/services, with specializations in Mainframe/Network Communications to include VTAM, TCP/IP, FTP, Connect:Direct, and/or zOS and associated products.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years work experience as a mainframe systems engineer in an enterprise data center environment with at least 2 years working experience supporting mainframe communications and associated products. OR High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years work experience as a mainframe systems engineer in an enterprise data center environment with at least 2 years working experience supporting mainframe communications and associated products.
Additional Requirements: • Implementation, configuration and support of VTAM. • Implementation, configuration and support of mainframe TCP/IP . • Implementation, configuration and support of Connect:Direct (NDM) • Implementation, configuration and support of NetView • Understanding and support of enterprise system communications and file transfer protocols • Understanding and support of enterprise encryption applications and processes. • Implementation, configuration and support of communications infrastructure products. • Process driven management of technical operations and support. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team. • Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills. • The ability to follow a project through to completion, and/or to work as part of a larger team to complete the components of a complex project. • Participate in on-call rotation with the engineering teams.
Other Preferred Qualifications: • Banking or financial services industry experience. • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science. • Knowledge of mainframe WebSphere MQ, z/OS, DB2, & core mainframe components. • Mainframe hardware configuration using HCD to include OSA Card Configuration. • Knowledge of Assembler and COBOL. • Capacity Planning and Reporting, with SPLUNK a plus.
