MetLife’s Sr. Tech Lead, Payroll of Enterprise Human Resources Information Technology Systems is responsible for partnering with Sr. HR leaders, third party vendors and IT Executives and their respective organizations, to lead global continuous improvement projects and annual event with the goal of attracting, developing and retaining top talent across the organization. Specifically this position will be responsible for managing an IT team of direct and non-direct reports leveraging Oracle HCM and supporting of Payroll, Benefits, Time and Labor and Interfaces from the cloud and GDC based solutions.
Lead the Deploy and Support of MetLife’s Enterprise Payroll and Benefits operations leveraging Oracle’s HCM with integration to third party, Maintain regulatory and tax changes. Proven Experience building and managing multiple system initiatives concurrently, including implementations, and upgrades, where coordination of IT activities across the enterprise, region and country organizations is critical to success. Management of agile business and IT application development projects where there are cross team dependencies but not necessarily a direct reporting relationship for all participants. Defines and oversees the delivery of performance based metrics and client-driven operational reporting for key initiatives and annual events, Open Enrollment, W2’s Maintains knowledge of HR industry trends and communicates knowledge of risks, opportunities and services available to build a competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness across the portfolio.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: Required:
Excellent verbal and written skills as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources, Industrial and Labor Relations or other related field, or equivalent work experience. 7+ years of broad IT experience, including Payroll application development, architecture, risk management, and operations. Extensive knowledge of agile software development life cycle, infrastructure solutions and services and IT portfolio and program management. Demonstrated customer relationship, communications and presentation skills.
Proven Experience with Oracle HCM (HR/Payroll), and other third party SAAS HR Solutions Ability to manage systems testing including unit, QA, end to end and user acceptance testing Proven technical capabilities with online and mobile delivery, and usability concepts and integration solutions such as Informatica, HCM Extract as well as indirect management of a Quality Assurance Team. Experience negotiating contracts and SLA’s with Vendors as well as managing vendors to SLA’s. Demonstrated experience identifying cost saving initiatives to reduce/control expenses.
