This person is responsible for managing the school SIS, a database with information relating to 880 students and 125 employees. By ensuring our data is accurate, secure, and useful, this person contributes to the school’s continuous improvement. The SIS Specialist reports to the Academic Dean and collaborates closely with the Counseling Department, Admissions Department, Director of Education Technology, and IT Department.
Extract data through reports and queries, to help the school make data-driven decisions
Coordinate and process electronic records and reports, including grades, transcripts, attendance, and household information
Verify the accuracy of student data during the enrollment and transfer process
Assign rights and privileges within the system according to school guidelines and protocols
Support school personnel in use of the system, to include some staff training, troubleshooting, and problem solving
Bachelor's degree (speciality in education, information systems, or database management preferred)
Proficiency with education database programs such as Senior Systems, Blackbaud, PowerSchool, or similar school management software
Experience using Google Suite, especially Google Sheets, Docs, and Drive
