Our Client, an industry-leading provider of innovative technology services to the communications industry, is currently seeking candidates for a System Administrator role. This individual will ensure the health, performance, and security of the corporate server and network infrastructure, and will contribute to several new high-profile projects within the company.
Located in the Canonsburg area, this Contract-to-Hire role is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, growing company.
Patch software, servers and appliances regularly.
Maintain integrity of the corporate network.
Monitor and report on system health regularly.
Assist in the implementation of proper security protocols and ensure they are followed.
Provide configuration, maintenance and, administration support for server infrastructure, network infrastructure, and hosted services.
Escalate technical issues as appropriate.
Maintain disaster recovery infrastructure, test regularly and provide reporting.
Assist with documentation of technical infrastructure.
Assist in the deployment of infrastructure in support of business initiatives.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a Systems Administrator role
3+ years’ experience configuring and managing Linux servers
Expertise with Windows servers, 2008R2 or better, VMWare Vsphere, Active Directory
Ability to utilize infrastructure automation tools such as SALTStack, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
Working knowledge of Cisco IOS.
Experience with ticketing systems
Ability to work a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule, including night, weekend, and overnight availability from time to time
Previous use of SQL, postgres and MSSQL.
Experience with Symantec Backup Exec
Working knowledge of at least one scripting language - Bash, Powershell, or Python
Experience with Graylog, ELK (or similar)
Experience with Asana, Jira and Confluence
