Highly skilled web developer assigned to develop complex Internet applications.
Design and develop front-end user interfaces for web applications.
Quickly develop page prototypes as well as complete, production-worthy pages.
Work in a team environment, able to collaborate with other engineers and members of other departments.
Work on jobs of diverse scope and complexity requiring independent action and decision-making.
Exercise judgment, applying creativity and ingenuity in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Mentor and guide other developers via pair programming and code reviews
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience
At least four years of professional development experience working on Internet applications within a team environment
Strong understanding of UI libraries — particularly React, Jquery, AngularJS.
Strong understanding of CSS libraries, particularly Bootstrap.
Strong understanding of CSS preprocessor, particularly LessJs
Must be able to structure a solid front-end architecture and build/expand a robust pattern library
Ability to diagnose and solve problems with existing software
Experience using a backend language, particularly Java
Experience working with Java-associated open-source packages — particularly Struts, JSP, and JSTL — strongly desired.
Understanding of relational databases and SQL, as well as understanding of object-relational mapping, preferably with experience in an ORM persistence tool such as Hibernate.
Experience managing source control and build tools for continuous integration including Grunt, Webpack, Babel, git (Bitbucket a plus) and Jira
Experience creating unit and functional tests to validate code
Must be self-directed, confident, able to use best-practice development processes effectively
Able to work in a team setting using Agile practices
Good organizational and documentation skills
Proven ability to train, mentor and lead junior team members
