The key function of the Application Support Specialist, API is to provide execution and technical support for smartvm API. We are seeking an experienced individual with knowledge of data driven API solutions. This person will possess strong, broad IT background including multiple API implementations with software-as-a-service. The Support Specialist will be responsible for presenting technical overview of smartvm and technical requirements to clients when planning implementations and upgrades.
•Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, interfaces and data delivery via APIs.
•Knowledge of CSV, XML, and JSON file formats.
•Knowledge of data related applications and best practices for review of data quality.
•Portal Solutions Experience
•Good understanding of data structures, and relationships.
•Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (in particular Excel and Outlook)
•SQL Server ?Data definition, data manipulation, data control, and transactional control
Administration, including creating and restoring SQL backups
Development, including creating and troubleshooting SSIS packages, stored procedures, complex data queries.
Windows networking, including IIS and Windows security admin.
Working knowledge of firewalls, TCP/IP stack, reverse proxies.
Working knowledge of API management tools such as Apigee or other industry standard tools.
Working knowledge of FTP, secure FTP, and PGP
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar experience preferred
Strong, broad IT background including multiple API (REST/SOAP) implementations with both software-as-a-service.
Customer-facing experience with large customers preferred
