The Senior Systems Specialist- with commitment to the customer experience will be responsible for staging, testing and on occasion installing manufacturer and audio visual application. This role requires an individual with high exposure to commercial Audio Visual technologies, as well as knowledge and experience integrating within corporate, government, and education environments. A critical part of this role is the delivery of equipment racks and credenzas to a large local corporate customer. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are needed to team well with customers, and all sales and service delivery team members.
Ability to review CAD drawings including signal flow, architectural and elevation.
Ability to work as a team lead and provide direction in building a standard video conference build.
Ability to update rack fabrication equipment, load code and assist programmers.
Fabrication of high level designed A/V systems including custom terminations by means of soldering and crimping as well as cable management and the ability to test all signal flow paths.
Ability to recognize design discrepancies and communicate effectively with the appropriate team to come to a resolution.
Clean driving record/history with experience driving a 14’ box truck.
Communication and documentation skills – clearly identify rack build design challenges and provide corrective resolutions to internal resources.
Recognize and appropriately escalate design or missing equipment issues to proper resources. In the event resolution cannot be reached, provide detailed and immediate notification and updates to key individuals/groups affected.
Maintain discipline and professionalism during all interactions and in all verbal or written communications.
Team contributor to overall team success and level of knowledge.
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with professional Audio Visual on site installations and/or rack fabrication builds.
Maintain CTS/CTS-I certification.
Experience with control systems, matrix switchers, and digital signal processors, from a variety of manufactures including Crestron, Extron, Polycom, and Biamp.
Must have experience with the installation and configuration of audio and video conferencing and their interpolation into a variety of room environments and larger AV installations.
Basic understanding of Networks
Basic Knowledge of VOIP and analog (POTS) phone systems.
Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
Provide guidance/training to System Specialists
Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical skills
Workable knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Work with Provisioning Manager/Director on special assignments/policies and procedures.
