The primary responsibility of the Build Engineer is to work with other team members in development, support and QA to establish and maintain a source code control environment. The Build Engineer also ensures that all products are built, installed, smoke tested and released consistently. This is a full time position located to the west of the City of Pittsburgh.
Design and Develop tools to allow efficient configuration management, build and release of software developed in C#, XML, .NET, and SQL Server Databases
Establish and maintain source code control environment for products and solutions
Create stable/scalable build system, including build scripts, for all development teams
Assist in establishing/implementing configuration management program, policies, procedures
Perform and manage all software builds and releases to development, QA, performance, production and training environments
Create and maintain system versions
Establish and maintain rollback points/objectives
Integrate fixes and product enhancements into code repository
Coordinate nightly builds and automated smoke tests
Run installers in different environments, as needed
Work with developers to troubleshoot build problems
Coordinate with teams to produce documentation and release notes
Run build reports and document build procedures

Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Technology
3+ years’ project planning or related experience
Working knowledge in .NET, SQL, C#, ASP.NET, XML, MSBUILD, Visual Build professional, TFS, SonarQube. Knowledge of Powershell and Autoit is a plus.
Previous configuration management experience
