As a Procurement & Inventory Manager you will be responsible for managing the duties and responsibilities of the purchasing, receiving, inventory control and facility management.
Successful candidates for the Procurement & Inventory Manager role must have experience in team-building, problem solving and negotiation capabilities. They must have strong organizational, presentation, customer service skills, general office application, understanding of procurement properties and both written and verbal communication skills. Candidate must be self-motivated and self-driven, willing to work in a challenging atmosphere and ability to see issues through to resolution. Must be able to multi task between multiple projects and tasks at a time with a proven aptitude for computer systems.
Locate vendors of products, equipment or supplies and interview them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales
Manage manufacturer and vendor relationships and contracts (Rebates & Commissions)
Research the market for the highest quality products at the lowest possible price
Coordinate and organize activities with accounting, finance and operations to ensure proper product purchasing and receiving processes are in place
Manage the purchasing and receiving process within ConnectWise or other systems
Implement approval process for non-quote items
Track purchasing activity and provide reports as needed
Develop and implement purchasing and contract management policies and procedures
Resolve manufacturer and vendor grievances and claims against suppliers
Implement processes using ConnectWise to enhance report of Cost of Goods in the system
Manage the involving process for all suppliers and coordinate efforts with finance and accounting
Develop training programs to educate people in the process
Identify areas for improvement and make constructive suggestions for changes
Participate in the development and improve all department related policies and procedures to increase their effectiveness especially in the area of Information Security
JOB REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
PREFERRED Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration or equivalent combination of education and procurement/purchasing experience
ITIL certification (nice to have)
knowledge & Expertise
5+ years of experience in procurement/purchasing role
Process customer approved opportunities to prepare for service, project or fulfillment needs
Create Purchase Orders for service, project or fulfillment needs
Communicate order status to appropriate stakeholders and notify of any discrepancies, back-orders, shipping, delays, etc.
Receive POs and update required information in ConnectWise
Match invoices to purchase orders to ensure accuracy and prepare documents for Accounts Payable
Handle Facilities Management
Initiates planned maintenance programs for a variety of office equipment
Manages preventive maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC and office equipment
Prepare Daily Remote Deposit and scan checks
Manage inventory, check-in and check-out
Create customer invoices
Experience with pivot tables, V-Lookups and SQL
Experience with CRM and Quoting Generation tools (ConnectWise & Quosal nice to have)
Experience with Great Plain Dynamics and FRX (nice to have)
