This is a leadership role managing the implementation of all high-priority projects related to improving the end-to-end customer experience across all interaction channels. There is the expectation that the associate will drive these results by leading and influencing all key stakeholders including end-users, distributors and vendors. For this reason, the associate will be experienced in dealing with complex cross-functional or enterprise wide projects/programs and able to drive both effective and rapid outcomes. It is expected that the associate, while working independently, will drive these projects from original concept through final implementation and that will be able to communicate with senior leaders in the company regarding the status of specific projects.
Key Responsibilities: •Oversees very large/critical technology projects, typically spanning the entire organization or include various and distinct LOB’s. Serves as a liaison between the business and the IT area, translating varied business needs into application software requirements. •Responsible for ensuring operational excellence through the understanding and alignment of key customer engagement and optimization of business priorities into projects, implementation phases, activities, deliverables and timelines •Responsible for identifying and resolving project interdependencies, overlap and integration concerns across other projects. Lead prioritization and sequencing exercises of all projects and activities across all channels. •Apply an expert understanding of business needs, goals, and challenges and connects them to the projects in order to tell a single story •Manages critical relationships with IT, consultants and vendors, internal end users, and business customers/leadership. •Leads and motivates project team members that are not direct reports that may span the entire organization. •Responsible for project management execution including but not limited to estimating and managing projects’ costs and resources; identifying and managing projects’ risks and issues; monitoring progress of all key project work streams, deliverables and outcomes; creation and maintenance of detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports; •Leads project meetings and provides updates to senior leadership regarding project status and the application and implementation of technology. •Designs, implements, and monitors the progress of initiatives, milestones, and budgets to ensure timeliness and deliverables are met. •Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required: •7+ years of relevant experience, including proven track record managing high-priority projects in a complex, sophisticated customer and competitive environment •Exceptional analytical skills with demonstrated ability to apply analysis to actionable insights •Organizational intelligence and strong influence management/cross-functional leadership skills; adept at working in a matrixed structure •Very strong presentation and communication skills with experience providing communication to senior leaders •Experience in Waterfall and Agile methodologies
Preferred: •Undergraduate degree strongly preferred •Advanced degree / training/ certification in Project Management or similar nice to have
