Our client, a regional leader in their industry, is seeking qualified candidates for a Lead QA Analyst role, which will be focused on leading software quality assurance team activities related to the quality, reliability and compliance of our systems.
Once hired, this individual will plan, coordinate, and direct quality assurance programs designed to ensure that products meet or exceed established quality standards. This non-telecommuting, contract-to-hire position is located in the Canonsburg, PA area.
Develop departmental policies and operating procedures, as needed, to effectively execute the principles and responsibilities of software quality assurance.
Lead and develop the software system testing process, both manual and automated.
Measure product development health by way of periodic quality assessment reporting.
Ensure that output from the software development process includes adequate identification and interpretation of product requirements.
Review product design documentation to ensure that requirements stated are correct, unambiguous, and verifiable.
Assist in generation of use cases to ensure that all functional requirements of a system are captured during the product design phase.
Consult with product development to evaluate system interfaces, operational requirements, and performance requirements of overall system.
Define test methods and create test plans for new or updated software projects to determine if software performs in accurate and reliable way according to documented requirements as well as established standards under both normal and abnormal conditions.
Recommend design improvements or corrections to software developers throughout the development process.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent education and work experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Software Quality, working with embedded/server software products.
Knowledge of Management Information Systems (MIS).
Proficiency with both manual and Automated testing development, requirements, and frameworks.
Technical depth in operating systems (MAC, Linux and Windows) and their related hardware.
Strong cross-functional communication, interpersonal and team skills.
