The Windows Infrastructure Team within Computing Services is searching for an Application Developer to support multiple applications on the Windows platform. You will be involved in the configuration, development, testing and support of critical third-party applications and related application/credit card payment devices. We are looking for someone with in-depth knowledge of C#, .NET, PowerShell and advanced knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory (AD), LDAP, TCP/IP communications, and network authentication protocols (Kerberos, NTLM).
In this role, you will:
Design, develop, configure, test, deploy, and support new applications for Microsoft Windows (e.g. CS Gold tools, web tools, custom reports, etc.)
Provide technical production support for the Windows-based applications.
Debug issues, work with vendors on bug analysis and collaborate with customer teams to resolve issues efficiently.
Collaborate with various campus partners, including Housing and Dining Services, Facilities Management, and Campus Affairs to ensure that the application functionality meets their needs.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
At least three years of industry experience with developing Microsoft Windows Applications using C#, .NET, PowerShell
Experience in configuring and maintaining multi-tier, scalable, enterprise level products in a Microsoft Windows environment
Experience writing SQL queries and understanding relational database architectures and tools.
Experience in writing custom SQL reports
Experience transforming data between multiple systems
In-depth understanding of the Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and the development environments, including Microsoft Active Directory and Visual Studio
Ability to handle a complex workload with shifting priorities
Ability to develop and implement custom programs/workflow for improving the functionality of applications
Excellent customer service and time management skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment with well-developed interpersonal skills
Work on other projects and tasks as deemed necessary by the team and business
Communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences (technical and non-technical) preferred
