Details - Executive Management Director-Exec Mgt MSU Information Technology provides the primary leadership for strategic, financial, and policy initiatives affecting information technology (IT) across MSU. MSU IT and departmental IT staff offer technology resources that support MSU’s mission of providing education, conducting research, and advancing engagement.
MSU IT is seeking a talented and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead a comprehensive portfolio of enabling systems and processes that provide the platform for Michigan State University to excel in research, education, and outreach. This position reports to the Chief Information Officer.
MSU IT’s next CTO is a technology strategist who has demonstrated success in leading and building teams, creating, delivering and measuring high-impact technology strategies, plans and programs, guiding significant technology implementations, and directing technology infrastructure and operations initiatives.
The CTO will have responsibility for IT Infrastructure and Operations including infrastructure design, mainframe systems, production services, and virtualization and storage systems. Leadership of this scope requires a unique combination of resourcefulness, technical expertise and seasoned executive strategic experience. The successful candidate will navigate a higher education environment in the interest of understanding university needs and requirements, and manage internal and external to MSU relationships to provide value oriented technology solutions
